How is everybody doing today? This is Dr. Carlock with Village Family Clinic. I'm here to answer another one of the frequently asked questions we receive. So, the question is, can babies get adjusted? Can babies get adjusted? The answer is yes. There's really no 'too soon' time to start getting adjusted. Now, of course, it's different than with adults. Babies can't tell you if they're in pain. They can't communicate that, but it's really important to check their spine and make sure the nervous system is running properly. There's a lot of research out there that shows chiropractic care is beneficial for colic in infants, and there's research showing it’s beneficial for acute ear infections. Of course, the adjustment is much gentler compared to an adult. With an adult, we would use a little bit more force. With a baby, we're barely putting any pressure on the spine. We find the restriction and apply gentle pressure with our fingers in the direction it needs to go. You don't hear a crack or anything like that.
